About MSYC
Malta Sailing Yacht Charters ‘MSYC’ is a Yacht Chartering business which operates from an office in the city of Sliema, in Malta. MSYC offers its guests a unique experience on a beautiful Yacht and promises to create lasting memories.
Founder
Malta Sailing Yacht Charters founder, Kevin Pisani has a passion for boats and the sea, in 2017 Kevin chose to leave his day job and invest in a yacht chartering business which he built from the ground up. Kevin is a Maltese National and has sailed around the Maltese Islands since he was a child. ‘I was brought up on boats and have always been fascinated by the sea’ Kevin frequently chooses to captain the boat himself when he finds time.
Mission
MSYC’s mission is to give people the opportunity to experience a memorable day out on the water, creating long lasting memories for all. The benefit of being a relatively small business is that we are focused more on the task at hand and are able to offer customers a more pleasant experience on-board.
Vessels
We started off by purchasing our first Yacht in 2017. The Yacht is a 45 foot ’14 meter’ Beneteau First 45F5. The Vessel, Aeolus is a performance cruiser and was designed by the legendary Pininfarina company and the Naval architect Bruce Farr. When Beneteau built the 45F5, they commissioned the same company responsible for designing some of the most iconic super cars of all time. The Pininfarina family took on board the task of changing an aging rectangular boat design to a design of more flexibility and curves. The First 45F5’s streamline shape can be compared to that of super cars which were also built in the same era and designed by Pininfarina. To this timeless design we owe great thanks to the legendary designer Sergio PininFarina.
Yacht exterior
From a design perspective, Aeolus is one of the most beautifully designed sailing boats by Beneteau. The exterior of the yacht is spacious and free from too many ropes, the designer ensured that most running rigging would be hidden under the deck. The Aft portion of the Yacht offers a comfortable space for a barbecue, socializing and sharing meals. Further aft, a comfortable bathing area offers easy access to the water for swimming. The main deck above the saloon offers a wide area for relaxing and sun bathing, this section is totally free from any rigging. Further forward the yacht offers more free space for relaxing and taking in the beautiful surroundings that Malta has o offer.
Yacht Interior
The interior of the Yacht is designed to be extremely comfortable and when compared to most other yachts within its class, Aeolus is noticeably a cut above the rest. Stepping downstairs to the main saloon you are instantly welcomed by a very spacious Seating area, large oval dining table and kitchen.
There are 2 spacious double berths at the aft section of the yacht, both cabins are almost identical and have ample storage, drawers and a wardrobe. Moving forward there’s a large double bedroom with en-suite and sofa.
Performance
Aeolus is not only a comfortable kitted out cruising boat however also a very capable racing yacht. Aeolus is kitted out with a large carbon main sail when participating in local regattas and also races to Sicily. An adjustable back-stay as well as having a well designed hull and keel helps the 45f5’s performance when put to the test.

Winter Races Participation
In the winter season Aeolus participates in local club races with the Royal Malta Yacht Club. Races include both coastal and offshore to Sicily. Winter racing season starts in February and continues till December, our last race for the year is round Malta and spans 54 NM.
